1.
No more light to rule my world; trying to find a way out of the night. Decided to fear the day when you'd fade away and now I've got no shadow to live under with you underneath the grave. "Look all around you; there's light in this room, but you shut it all out. Don't let your pride be the wind to blow the candles out. You have loved, there's no doubt." I turn my head in your direction, but you're not there where you used to sit. Caught in this damned disposition, 'cause there was no remission, and I know there's no way to bring you back to me from underneath the grave. "Look all around you; there's light in this room, but you shut it all out. Don't let your pride be the wind to blow the candles out. You have love, there's no doubt." "Look all around you. See what I see. There are those who believe in you and what you want to be. Don't succumb to the night; you'll be fine without me. Let them all be your light and you'll make it through this sun filled room."
2.
Hey, you there, stranger, whose name I know and face I can recall, what's it like to be someone who I have left behind? I don't mind and I don't care. I'm okay living life with you in my past, my friend. I can sense you long for how we were, but you fail to see you were the sole culprit who broke what I have left behind. I don't mind and I don't care. I'm okay living life with you in my past. In this bliss, that I've since found, there's no room for someone who is toxic like you, my friend. Found the light I had spoken of then. Not in your words or in your actions, but in the words and in the actions of those surrounding me in this sun filled room. I don't mind and I don't care. I'm okay living life with you in my past. Sung those words, time after time, but now I am living them every day - so thankful for the light.

about

'Prologue/Epilogue' is an EP that functions as a prequel of sorts to a concept album entitled 'Sentimentalism'. Where 'Sentimentalism' is the story proper, following a young man dealing with the loss of his father and living life without his guidance, 'Prologue/Epilogue' serves as the "book ends" as it were, juxtaposing that deepest and darkest stage of grief with a newfound strength and resolve.
